Saudi, US foreign ministers discuss regional security, historical ties

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed common challenges and maintaining security and stability in the region.
In a phone conversation, Prince Faisal congratulated Blinken on his new position as the pair discussed historic ties between their nations as well as a number of issues of common concern.
On Thursday, the Kingdom welcomed US President Joe Biden’s speech, in which he reiterated the US’s commitment to cooperate with the Kingdom to defend its sovereignty and address the threats facing it.
