A study on the regulatory status of cloud computing indicates that it will play a key role in building the new digital economy and encourage innovation.
The study, published by Saudi Arabia’s Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), placed the Kingdom as a benchmark against 10 countries that included the UK, the US, South Korea, Japan, Germany, Denmark and Australia.
The study also revealed that cloud computing will help to create a better work system to the benefit of partners, companies and beneficiaries with rewards that include cost reduction, scalability and disaster recovery.
According to the study, the pandemic has expedited the global trend toward digital transformation and data use, where cloud computing has become key for a range of innovative new IT services and solutions, including artificial intelligence (AI) blockchain, encryption, augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) and other wireless and hardware computer services.
