RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has congratulated Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, emir of Kuwait, on the formation of the first Kuwaiti government of his reign.
During a phone call, King Salman praised the level of relations between the two countries and their people, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The emir approved a new cabinet that was sworn in on Monday and included new oil and finance ministers.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also telephoned Sheikh Nawaf to offer similar congratulations, and wishing the new government good luck.
The Kuwaiti emir thanked the king and crown prince and praised the depth of historical relations between the two countries.
The crown prince also made a call to his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
