Riyadh governor joins in with students distance learning virtual platform “Madrasati”

RIYADH: Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar joined in with students on the distance learning virtual platform “Madrasati” on Sunday.
It happened during a meeting between Prince Faisal and the general director of the Education Department in Riyadh, Hamad Al-Wahaibi, and other officials.
In a message addressed to students and teachers, Prince Faisal wished everyone luck and success and congratulated them on their work amid the circumstances of the pandemic.
He also noted the efforts of the education departments in Riyadh and the support provided to the sector by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to ensure the education of students in the city.
Al-Wahaibi provided an overview of the distance learning process, starting with the virtual preschool, Madrasati platform, educational satellite and YouTube channels.
He also reviewed the number of trainees on Madrasati, which has had more than 147,000 teachers, 22,000 leaders and 9,000 supervisors use the platform in the first week of the academic year.
The number of people training on the Madrasati platform has reached more than 389,000, with more than 44,000 training hours completed.
The total number of students who have activated the platform has reached 5 million, with 420,000 teachers and more than 20,000 school leaders joining them.
