Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan, governor of the Northern Borders Region, who is also the chairman of the Council of NGOs, chaired a meeting at his office on Tuesday in Arar to review measures to improve the overall performance of cooperative societies, charitable organizations and professional bodies.
The meeting discussed ways to increase coordination between charitable organizations to ensure integrated efforts for the welfare of the people.
The governor was also briefed about a mechanism for the establishment of nongovernmental organizations to suit social needs and ensure national development.
Prince Faisal called on all stakeholders to take advantage of the initiatives introduced by the council to achieve their objectives to serve national interests. The meeting also highlighted the importance of community service in today’s world.
