JEDDAH: The Pakistani Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah marked the country’s 74th Independence Day on Friday. A simple yet elegant flag-hoisting ceremony was attended by a cross-section of the Pakistani community living in Jeddah, Riyadh and their adjoining cities.
Pakistan Ambassador Raja Ali Ejaz and Consul General Khalid Majid said that this year’s Independence Day was being observed to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir. Pakistan stood by them and would continue to provide political, moral and diplomatic support for their struggle for self-determination.
