RIYADH: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture celebrated the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought under the theme “Food. Feed. Fiber.”
The Kingdom had taken several measures to combat desertification, promote its plant cover and protect natural pastures. The ministry also highlighted the importance of cooperation in preventing environmental degradation in the Kingdom.
The ministry aims to plant 9 million forest seedlings, 2 million grazing saplings, while also scattering 3 tons of local seeds to enrich forests and pastures and restore their vitality and productivity.
