In view of the lockdown to battle the coronavirus pandemic, the authorities has determined to continue the facility of undertaking subvention of two per cent and immediately compensation incentive of three per cent to farmers till August 31, 2020. In April, the facility of Interest Subvention (IS) and Prompt Repayment Incentive (PRI) used to be prolonged till May-end.In a notification, the Reserve Bank of India requested the banks to lengthen the acquire of IS and PRI for quick crop loans to farmers.
