The Civil Aviation Ministry launched the draft Unmanned Aircraft System Rules, 2020, prohibiting the "carriage of payload" except as authorised by using DGCA. It distinct that solely Nano type drones, no longer exceeding 250 grams, will be allowed to function in India in general, at a most speed of 15 metres/second. However, "qualified far flung pilots" can be allowed to operate heavier drones.
